Following the order of the on-site lifting commander, on October 18, the ultra-large outer dome module of the Changjiang Nuclear Power Phase II Unit 3, with a total weight of about 600 tons, landed safely and steadily on the top of the nuclear island under the lifting of Zoomlion's 3,200-ton crawler crane, outlining a majestic outline for the nuclear power unit, and also marking that the construction of the main structure of the nuclear island has been basically completed, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent installation, commissioning and grid-connected power generation.

In the construction of nuclear power projects, the hoisting of the outer dome module is a key milestone. The module is located on the top of the nuclear island reactor building. It has an irregular hemispherical head structure with a bottom diameter of about 52 meters and a height of about 12 meters. It is mainly used as a template for the concrete on the top of the nuclear island shell to provide support for the subsequent pouring of the dome of the nuclear island shell. The nuclear island shell mainly plays a protective role and is an important part of the nuclear island safety protection system.

The total hoisting load of the outer dome module hoisted this time is about 600 tons. The outer dome structure has the characteristics of large size, heavy weight and thin-walled plates. The hoisting process is very easy to deform, which makes it difficult to place. Zoomlion's 3,200-ton crawler crane accurately placed the outer dome of Unit 3 of Changjiang Nuclear Power Phase II in the predetermined position with millimeter-level hoisting accuracy and smooth and efficient hoisting movements.

Hainan Changjiang Nuclear Power Unit 3 is the first "Hualong One" unit to start construction in my country's "14th Five-Year Plan". It is understood that during the construction of Unit 3, Zoomlion cranes have always been fighting on the front line, successfully completing several important lifting tasks such as ring beam and ring rail lifting, ring crane main beam lifting, and inner dome lifting, providing solid equipment guarantee for the smooth construction of the project.
