On the morning of September 5, 2024, the 2024 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was grandly opened at the Great Hall of the People. Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech. Xi Jinping announced that China's bilateral relations with all African countries with diplomatic ties have been upgraded to the level of strategic relations, and the overall positioning of China-Africa relations has been upgraded to the all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era.
