A relevant person in charge of Fujian Socma Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. told reporters that as the first 50-ton electric heavy-duty forklift to be successfully launched in the country, it took only eight months from research and development to production, and many technical difficulties were overcome in the early product development and design stage. In the end, Socma defeated its foreign counterparts with excellent technology and production efficiency and successfully won the order from Japanese customers.

"This model has three significant features: low energy consumption, low noise and excellent handling performance. Its vehicle control logic is at an advanced level in the industry. The battery equipped in this vehicle comes from CATL in Fujian, a brand with a high influence worldwide. Compared with products in the same industry, a major advantage of this vehicle is its large tonnage. At present, there is no forklift of such a large tonnage in the same industry."

After a full two-hour charge, it can continue to work for 8-10 hours. While saving "labor", electric forklifts are also more advantageous than fuel forklifts of the same tonnage in terms of maintenance costs. It is reported that this electric heavy-duty forklift can also achieve kinetic energy recovery through braking, further extending the endurance of electric vehicles, and the larger the tonnage, the more obvious the energy conversion.

"This model has a significant feature, namely the energy recovery function. When the vehicle is in a deceleration state, due to its total weight of about 60 tons, reverse kinetic energy will be generated during the deceleration process. This design allows the battery of the entire vehicle to be charged every time it is decelerated."

The reporter learned that as one of the earliest companies in China to invest in the research and development of electric engineering machinery, Socma has set its sights on the new energy track in 2018 and further refined the market in the field of machinery manufacturing. The company has independently developed the electromechanical and hydraulic integration and three-electric integrated system solutions for electric heavy forklifts, electric excavators, and electric loaders, and has accumulated a lot of technical precipitation. At present, electric machinery accounts for 30% of the company's products in all fields, and it has been steadily increasing year by year. Next, Socma will plan to open a specialized electric machinery production plant to accelerate the research and development of new products, injecting new impetus into the transformation and development of the machinery manufacturing industry in Quanzhou Taiwan Investment Zone.
