Liugong Ovm participates in the construction of global floating wind power

On July 3, the world's largest floating wind power platform "Mingyang Tiancheng" was officially installed in Nansha, Guangzhou. It is also the world's first offshore wind power platform with two wind turbines installed on a floating foundation, with a total capacity of 16.6 megawatts. The cable system on the outside of the wind power platform was designed, developed, manufactured and installed by Liugong Ovm.

The cable system on the outside of the "Mingyang Tiancheng" wind power platform consists of 13 groups of main cables. Since the "Mingyang Tiancheng" has to work in a deep-sea environment, higher requirements are placed on the performance of the cables. First of all, the strong corrosiveness of the deep-sea environment requires the cables to have extremely high corrosion resistance to ensure that the cables can operate stably and for a long time under harsh conditions. Secondly, the upwind cables must withstand the water pressure of seawater as deep as 20 to 30 meters and meet dynamic sealing performance to resist the impact of seawater penetration on structural safety. In addition, the deep-sea wind power project has put forward a strict requirement of 25 years of maintenance-free, which requires the cables to ensure a service life of up to 25 years without maintenance.

After two years, Liugong Ovm and the R&D team of "Mingyang Tiancheng" successfully developed a floating offshore wind power cable system suitable for high corrosion resistance requirements in deep-sea environments, forming five innovative technologies, including super-large specifications (ST15-67) with fork ear fatigue test, cable full sealing structure that can withstand 0.3MPa (30m water depth) water pressure, adaptive universal adjustment rigid spacer, large swing angle dynamic sealing integral seal and sea surface segmental cable anti-collision structure, and applied for 12 patents. The new technology forms all-round protection from the cable body to the anchor head, meets the corrosion resistance requirements in deep-sea environments, realizes dynamic sealing under 30 meters of water pressure and 25 years of maintenance-free design requirements, and ensures the stability and safety of deep-sea cables.

In addition, the installation of tension system cables on wind power platforms is different from the common bridge cable construction. The process is complicated and difficult, and there is no successful experience to learn from worldwide. In view of the particularity of the project, the Liugong Ovm construction team formulated a detailed special technical plan, focusing on the layout of large temporary structural facilities including the cableway manned hanging basket system and the layout of the intelligent tensioning system, and optimized and modified it according to the on-site environment and conditions during the implementation process.

The project has very high requirements for the cable force and tension synchronization. To this end, Liugong Ovm has specially developed a synchronous phase-controlled intelligent tensioning system. Through graded pre-tensioning, multi-dimensional monitoring, synchronous tensioning and other means, the tensioning force value is accurately controlled to ensure the synchronization of the cable tensioning process, so that the 13 groups of main cables can reach their respective designed pre-tensioning forces at the same time. In addition, each group of cables is equipped with a health detection system for real-time cable force monitoring, and the data of the two are mutually verified to ensure the accuracy of the final cable force.

LiuGong Ovm's floating offshore wind power cable system includes the cable product system, monitoring system, construction system, product production process and testing process, all of which have passed the on-site certification of the China Classification Society (CCS) and can go to sea with the certificate. It is currently the only prestressed enterprise in the industry that has passed the CCS certification.
