Recently, in Yingkou, Liaoning

XCMG's 4,000-ton crawler crane

made its debut in tower arm working condition

and successfully hoisted an 18MW offshore wind turbine

fully demonstrating the strength and style of a major country's heavy equipment

XGC88000 offshore wind power debut

This is the first show of XCMG's XGC88000 offshore wind power hoisting. The successful hoisting marks the creation of "two world firsts" records - the world's largest wind rotor diameter and the largest single-unit power unit are about to be put into commercial application.

This 18-megawatt offshore wind turbine unit weighs nearly 800 tons, the hub center height is 145 meters, and the blade tip height is nearly 270 meters. At full wind speed, each rotation can generate 44 degrees of electricity. One unit outputs about 74 million degrees of clean electricity per year, which can meet the electricity needs of 40,000 households, equivalent to saving about 25,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 60,000 tons per year.

"Tower working condition" was used for the first time

Combining the characteristics of super-high, super-heavy and high-precision construction, XCMG used the tower working condition of the XGC88000 crawler crane for the first time. This is also the first time that this working condition has been applied to 4,000-ton products in the industry.

The installation of the world's longest blade is the difficulty and key point in the entire hoisting process: the installation of a 126-meter-long blade is like threading a needle in the air. It is necessary to accurately insert more than 170 bolts into the corresponding holes of the hub at an altitude of nearly 150 meters. During the process, the blade will shake due to the influence of the sea breeze, and it will be damaged if you are not careful. The hoisting is extremely difficult.

XCMG XGC88000 performs stably. With the cooperation of the auxiliary crane, the hoisting, rotation, centering and positioning are smooth and efficient, and the operation process is completed in one go, which has won unanimous praise from the project owner and the construction unit.

The "Golden Signboard" in the Industry

This is not the first time that XCMG's XGC88000 crawler crane has challenged the "impossible". It has gone through the actual combat test of the world's most advanced, most stringent and most complex projects such as petrochemical, chemical, nuclear power, marine engineering, wind power, etc., and has continuously unlocked many achievement "medals" such as "earliest start-up time", "widest application projects", "longest safe construction time", "largest cumulative lifting weight", etc., becoming the "golden signboard" representing China's crane industry.

In the future, XCMG will continue to move towards "high-end, intelligent, green, service-oriented and internationalization", contribute China's strength to the global green energy transformation, and work with the world to build a green earth with sustainable development.
